Twitter’s New Policy: Reducing Annoyance and Encouraging Twitter Blue Subscription

Twitter has made an important change in its policy regarding direct messages from non-subscribers to Twitter Blue in an effort to reduce annoyance and misconduct on its platform, although the company did not specify the exact limit for the number of direct messages, it stated that the changes will take effect starting from Friday, this move comes as part of Twitter’s efforts to improve user experience and minimize harassment and unwanted messages through direct messages on the platform.

Adding a feature to reduce annoyance

With billionaire Elon Musk joining Twitter’s ownership, his interest in solving the issue of annoyance on the platform has increased, in this context, Twitter recently launched a new feature aimed at reducing annoyance for users, the feature involves moving direct messages received from verified accounts that the user does not follow to a secondary inbox, this change aims to organize messages, improve user experience, and reduce unwanted and bothersome messages that may reach users’ accounts, this is an additional step taken by Twitter to enhance the safety and comfort of users on the platform.

Encouraging subscription to Twitter Blue

This new step taken by Twitter seems to be part of its efforts to encourage users to subscribe to Twitter Blue and enjoy its privileges, including the ability to send an unlimited number of direct messages, the aim is to attract users to subscribe to the paid membership and enhance the revenues generated by Twitter from its premium services.
