In Georgia, the storm caused flash flooding and mudslides. Emergency crews were conducting rescues of residents trapped in their homes.

The storm is expected to continue to weaken as it moves northeast, but is still expected to bring heavy rain and flooding to the Carolinas and Virginia.

The National Hurricane Center has issued a flash flood watch for parts of the Carolinas and Virginia.

Residents in these areas are urged to take precautions and to stay safe.

The storm is a reminder of the dangers of hurricanes and the importance of being prepared.

Residents in hurricane-prone areas should have a plan in place and should be prepared to evacuate if necessary.

The storm is also a reminder of the effects of climate change.

Hurricanes are becoming stronger and more intense due to climate change.

This is a serious threat to coastal communities and to the entire country.

We need to take action to address climate change and to protect our communities from future storms.
