American police arrested a 12-year-old armed child, after trying to steal a car in Washington by daylight.
In a press release, Sunday, the Metropolitan Police Department stated that the incident occurred at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. and U Street south-east of the capital.
The police did not identify the suspect by name because of his age.
Robbery under gunpoint:-
One woman reported that someone approached her and asked for her keys, and had something in his waist belt that looked like a firearm.
According to the police, the suspect fled the scene on foot, after the owner refused to deliver the keys.

In an interview with Fox 5DC, the owner of the car, who had not revealed her identity for fear of retaliation, said that she had stopped her car, unloaded her seatbelt and left for a restaurant, when the child approached her and asked for the car keys, but he was stunned after rejecting his request.
The police said that the officers who responded to the incident had shortly detained the suspect and had discovered that he was carrying a firearm.
