A woman killed the owner of the house in which she lived and hid his body, after which she rented the house and made money from it for two years, before the neighbours complained about the reasons for the disappearance of the original owner and informed the police.
Details of the incident:-
It started when Merritt offered a resident low pay for cleaning up the upper floors, but the cleaning tenant said she found a bloody knife in a mailbox, as well as blood stains in the bathroom on the third floor, but Merritt told her that the homeowner had fallen on a sharp instrument and was taken to the hospital where he later died.
But the lie did not last long when the same tenant found the remains of a skeleton in the backyard of the house, and in December 2021 she called the police, and the police department revealed that the police who responded to the house on 605 West Clay Street found the remains of a body at an advanced stage of degradation.
Of course, the woman denied her knowledge of the owner, but the autopsy results from the Harris District Institute of Forensic Sciences revealed that the remains belonged to the victim as a result.
The moment of arresting her:-
Pamela Ann Merritt 43 years old, was arrested after more than two years of reporting the disappearance of King Colin Krdashi 78 years old, according to Houston Police Department on Tuesday.
The police filed charges against Merritt in May, but were unable to locate her for five months until she was arrested and detained in Harris County Prison.
The woman was charged with murder and her bail was set at $500,000.
Her boyfriend Brown was also arrested and charged with tampering with evidence.
