According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights two individuals were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting the outskirts of Damascus on Tuesday. While the exact nationality of the victims is still unknown they are believed to be soldiers.
The nighttime airstrikes struck military sites in the southwest and southeast regions of the capital Damascus. The Syrian Observatory reported that the bombings hit storage facilities and military positions belonging to the Lebanese Hezbollah party and Iranian militias.
Syria’s state news agency (SANA) confirmed the attacks referring to the perpetrators as the “Israeli enemy.” They stated that one soldier was injured in the airstrikes.
Additionally Syrian air defenses successfully intercepted some of the missiles launched.
Israel as is customary has not commented on these reports.
