119 charges against Trump in the 2024 US elections… 4 official indictments ignite the conflict with «justice»
Four regulations and 119 charges so far impede former US President Donald Trump’s path towards the 2024 US elections.
After announcing his intention to run in the electoral race, and starting internal competitions at the level of the Republican Party, the frequency of accusations directed against Trump began to increase, to record a number that may be Unprecedented in American history.
As Trump was finalizing the advanced stages of the election campaign, he was formally indicted in four separate criminal cases led by two attorneys general and a federal special counsel.
Trump’s position on these accusations: –
Trump is trying to postpone one of the lawsuits related to the events of January 6, 2021, after announcing the fourth indictment against him, The lawsuit related to the storming of Congress accuses Trump of being responsible for the death of Capitol Police Officer Brian Siknik.
The former president’s defense team maintains that Donald’s handling of two cases at the same time “harms the judicial community”.
“Forcing President Trump to deal with this case while defending himself in a criminal prosecution based on relevant conduct would undoubtedly prejudice either his right to defend himself in this case, his criminal defense, or both”.
The official regulations addressed to him:-
- Bribery, fraud, sexual abuse… a varied list of charges.
- Mar-a-Lago Secret Documents.
- Storming Congress and the peaceful transfer of power 2021.
- Cancellation of the result of the Georgia elections 2020.
The lawsuit also accuses Trump of causing the death of Officer Schenk by angering his supporters on January 6, 2021.
Trump’s legal team wrote that the federal indictment filed against him earlier this month related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election “overlaps significantly” with the Seqink lawsuit allegations.
His attorneys said that if Trump were forced to continue the defense against Cynic’s lawsuit and it advanced to the evidence-gathering stage, he would consider asserting his Fifth Amendment rights in the lawsuit to “focus on criminal litigation”.
Trump’s lawyers added that his criminal case raises at least a realistic possibility of criminal prosecution sufficient to warrant application of the Fifth Amendment, “because it could provide information to criminal prosecutors”.
