Turkey Warns Russia Following Shots Fired at Ship in Black Sea

Turkey has issued a warning to Russia after shots were fired at a ship in the Black Sea according to a source in the Turkish presidency reported by Reuters.

The incident comes amid ongoing attacks by Russia on Ukraine’s grain infrastructure which have drawn condemnation from the United States.

The US Department of State called on Russia to abide by the grain export agreement and urged them to return to it.

In response to the attacks, the US is now exploring alternative options with its partners to find new routes for Ukrainian grain exports.
