Massive Fire Engulfs Plastic Factory in Hebron: A Test of Resilience and Unity

Hebron, Palestine – In a dramatic display of courage and determination, 120 firefighters battled a massive blaze at the “Royal” plastic manufacturing facility in Hebron, Palestine, finally containing it in the early hours of Wednesday. The incident, which erupted on Tuesday evening in the Bir Haram area of Hebron, was a formidable challenge, highlighting the risks associated with industrial operations and the community’s vulnerability to such disasters.

Social media users and Palestinian news outlets shared harrowing footage of the inferno, underscoring the scale of the emergency that prompted the deployment of 15 civil defense teams equipped with firefighting trucks, water supplies, and hydraulic ladders. This coordinated effort was instrumental in averting a potential catastrophe, safeguarding the lives and property of nearby residents.

The urgency of the situation led to the precautionary evacuation of those living in proximity to the danger zone, reflecting the authorities’ commitment to public safety. The fire, according to officials, consumed over 30 dunams of the factory’s sprawling 70-dunam site, including warehouses stocked with highly flammable plastic materials and raw goods.
