Armed Intruder Shuts Down German Airport with Suspected Hostage Situation

According to a spokesperson for the German police, the individual behind this alarming breach drove a vehicle through a checkpoint and entered Hamburg Airport. Once inside, he discharged his firearm twice into the air, causing immediate panic and chaos among airport staff and passengers.

Fortunately, there were no reported casualties from the gunshots, but the airport was swiftly closed, disrupting all takeoff and landing operations.

The unsettling event took place at approximately 8:00 PM local time. It was further reported that, after firing his weapon, the suspect threw two incendiary devices from his vehicle.
