The Israeli occupation forces carried out a new massacre on the evening of Friday, October 13, 2023, by targeting trucks carrying displaced people heading to the southern Gaza, following warnings issued in the morning calling on the residents of northern Gaza to evacuate, threatening them with airstrikes.

The occupation forces committed a massacre against three convoys of civilians at different locations on Salah al-Din and Rashid streets, as they attempted to reach the south of Wadi Gaza.
According to the head of the government media office, Salama Ma’arouf, the massacre has so far resulted in an initial toll of 70 martyrs, most of them children and women, and more than 200 injuries.
Ma’arouf stated, “The new crime that claimed the lives of children, women, and elders, some of whom were decapitated, and dozens of wounded, reaffirms that the occupier does not respect treaties or honor agreements, and the steadfast choice of our people is to remain on their land and not leave for any other destination.”
Videos shared by Palestinian media outlets showed painful scenes of dozens of fatalities and injuries inside the trucks, while other videos depicted the tears of the paramedics due to the severity of the injuries.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Friday, October 13, 2023, that the death toll has risen to 1,799, and the number of injured has reached 6,488 due to the ongoing Israeli airstrikes on the region for the seventh consecutive day.
The ministry stated, “The death toll of the Israeli aggression on the seventh day has risen to 1,799 martyrs and 6,488 with various injuries.”
Meanwhile, the occupation fighter jets continue to carry out airstrikes in various areas of the Gaza Strip for the seventh consecutive day, resulting in significant casualties and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of residents, in addition to extensive damage to civilian infrastructure.
On Saturday, “Hamas” and other Palestinian factions in Gaza launched the “Aqsa Tempest” operation in response to the ongoing attacks by Israeli forces and settlers against the Palestinian people and their property and holy sites, particularly the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem.
In response, the Israeli occupation forces launched the “Iron Swords” operation and continue to conduct intensive airstrikes in various areas in the Gaza Strip, home to over two million Palestinians suffering from deteriorating living conditions due to the continuous Israeli blockade since 2006.
