Aldjim described the terrifying moment when she saw her child on the shoulder of one of the armed men, crying incessantly, while she held her other child in her arms. As they approached the outskirts of Gaza, the militants signaled her to return home, leaving her and her children as they continued towards Gaza. On her way back, Aldjim mentioned facing another group of armed men, taking cover behind a sand hill with her children. The militants saw her but proceeded towards Gaza without harming them.
