In a recent turn of events, London’s Luton Airport witnessed a substantial fire, leading to a partial collapse of one of its parking garages. As a safety precaution, all flights have been suspended until midday on Wednesday.
The airport administration, which is situated approximately 40 kilometers north of Central London, issued a statement emphasizing the safety of its passengers and employees as its primary concern. Hence, the decision to halt all airborne activities until 12 pm on Wednesday was taken.

British media outlets reported restrictions imposed on accessing the airport due to the blaze. The fire reportedly broke out around 21:00 in a newly constructed parking space dedicated to low-cost airlines. Captured footage broadcasted across various UK media platforms showcased a multi-level structure engulfed in flames. Additionally, social media witnesses relayed information about explosions at the site.
The aftermath of the incident resulted in five casualties who were immediately rushed to the hospital. Local ambulance services revealed that among the injured were four firefighters and an airport employee. They further mentioned a sixth individual with minor injuries, who received treatment on-site.
