Controversial Dutch Scientist Warns of Planetary Alignments Leading to Severe Earthquakes in Early October

In a recent set of updates, Dutch scientist Frank Hoogerbeets has roused global apprehensions about possible impending seismic activities.

Using his platform on the rebranded social media site “X,” formerly known as Twitter, Hoogerbeets cautioned that the period from October 1 to 3 could see intensified earthquake activity due to specific planetary alignments. The scientist’s following has been growing due to his past accurate earthquake predictions, albeit he remains a subject of debate in the scientific community.

Planetary Geometry as a Seismic Indicator

Hoogerbeets is affiliated with SSGEOS, an organization dedicated to researching seismic events. He states that between September 29 and October 2, certain geometrical alignments among planets like Mercury, Earth, and Neptune could lead to significant earthquakes, potentially reaching a magnitude of up to 7 on the Richter scale. He emphasized that this projection is based on angular geometry among these celestial bodies.

Public Reaction

Hoogerbeets’ warnings have led to global concern, especially given his track record of predicting earthquakes over the past few months. This comes in the wake of recent seismic activities recorded in Indonesia’s Kepulauan Talaud and Vanuatu, where the magnitude reached up to 6.

Expert Skepticism

Despite Hoogerbeets’ recent pronouncements, it should be noted that the mainstream scientific community remains skeptical of the credibility of planetary alignments as an indicator for seismic events. The methods employed by Hoogerbeets are not universally accepted and thus add an element of controversy to these predictions.

The scientist further clarified that the fluctuations in seismic activities depend on a host of factors, including the state of the Earth’s crust. Hoogerbeets calls for a cautious approach, underlining the period from October 1 to October 3 as crucial for potential significant seismic events.

While Hoogerbeets’ predictions have aroused attention, it’s essential to consider them in light of broader scientific research, which generally does not support the link between planetary alignments and earthquakes. Therefore, a measured approach to these claims is advised.

The upcoming days could confirm or debunk Hoogerbeets’ claims, but until then, his warnings stand as a contentious yet hard-to-ignore cautionary tale.
