The strong storm that hit the Spanish city of Madrid on Friday morning caused accidents on the roads and the closure of the Cercañas and Madrid metro stations, making it difficult to travel through the city.

Heavy rain in Madrid | Difficulty moving around the city

According to local Spanish media, the heavy rains that Madrid residents woke up to made it difficult to move through the city, and caused the closure of metro stations that were swept by rainwater.

Rescuers carried out 120 sorties to carry out numerous operations to rescue people trapped in cars and deal with flooding in garages, ponds and other affected places.

The state meteorological agency had predicted rain and storms in the city of Madrid and predicted that the intensity of rain would reach 20 mm.

The rain caused subway traffic on some lines to be halted and some flooded stations closed, while trains were delayed due to heavy rain.
