Google Pixel phones have witnessed a surge in sales recently, according to the latest statistics released by Stats Counter.
The recently published data indicates that Google Pixel phones have risen to fourth place as the best-selling phones in the North American markets, following Apple, Samsung, and Motorola, between mid-2022 and mid-2023.
Apple claimed the top spot, capturing over half of the smartphone market share in North America, with a share of 54.22%, Samsung followed at 26.79%, significantly ahead of Motorola, which secured third place with a share of 4.82%. Google came in with a 2.46% share.
While Google’s sales still lag behind major smartphone manufacturers, its phones are asserting themselves as strong options across various price ranges.
Google initiated the Pixel series in late 2016 as a successor to the preceding Nexus releases, currently, it encompasses a range of traditional smartphones along with a tablet and a foldable phone.
Previous reports highlighted Google Pixel phones achieving good sales in Japan, where they secured a market share of around 9% in the first quarter of the current year, ranking second after Apple’s dominance in the market and surpassing local Japanese companies like Sony and Sharp.
Google is gearing up to launch the Pixel 8 series in the last quarter of this year, along with the announcement of some other accessories.
