Elon Musk Says (X) Social Media Platform Will Fund Legal Bills for Unfairly Treated Users

Elon Musk announced that the social media platform (X), which he owns, will fund the legal bills for individuals who have been treated unfairly by their employers due to their posts or likes on the platform, formerly known as Twitter.

In a post on (X), Musk stated, “If your employer treated you unfairly due to your posts or likes on this platform, we will fund your legal bill,” adding that there will be no limits on the funding for legal bills.

Last month, Musk revealed that the monthly users of the (X) platform reached a “new level” and posted a chart showing the latest count to be over 540 million.

These numbers come as the company undergoes organizational changes and seeks to overcome the issue of declining advertising revenue.

The numbers also came amid a series of comments from (X) company executives claiming an increase in usage, following the launch of Meta’s new platform, Threads, on July 5th, directly competing with (X).

After 17 years with the bluebird logo representing broadcasting ideas around the world, billionaire Musk renamed Twitter to (X) and unveiled the new logo last month, which indicates a focus on creating an “inclusive app.”

Last year, Musk, who also runs the space company SpaceX, the electric car manufacturer Tesla, and other companies, announced that he acquired Twitter to accelerate his ambition of creating his comprehensive app called (X).

According to Musk’s tweet published at the time, the comprehensive app will feature encrypted direct messaging, long tweets, and electronic payment capabilities.

Semafor, a website citing informed sources, reported last Thursday that (X) platform is in communication with major financial data companies to build a trading center within its app.
