Elon Musk Announces Live Broadcast of Showdown with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on X Social Platform
In a recent post, Elon Musk revealed that the highly anticipated showdown with Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, will be live-streamed on his own social platform, X, formerly known as Twitter.
The social media titans have been engaging in banter since June, especially after Meta’s plans to launch a Twitter competitor surfaced.
Musk suggested Las Vegas as the location for the “cage match” with Zuckerberg, who challenged him to a wrestling match, stating, “Vegas Octagon.”
The term “Octagon” refers to the cage surrounding the fighting ring in mixed martial arts, as it has eight sides.
On Sunday, Musk shared on X, “The (Zuck vs Musk) battle will be live-streamed on X, and all proceeds will go to charities supporting veterans,” without providing further details.
Earlier on the same day, Musk mentioned on X that he’s “lifting weights all day” and getting ready for the fight, admitting he hadn’t had time for sports, so he’s focusing on weightlifting.
When a user on X asked Musk about the reason for the fight, he replied, “It’s a civilized form of war. Men like war.”
The buzz started in June when Musk tweeted, “Vegas Octagon,” in response to an Instagram post from Zuckerberg, asking Musk to name the place for the wrestling match after the CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk, confirmed his willingness to challenge Zuckerberg.
It’s rumored that Zuckerberg holds a white belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and trains under Dave Camarillo from Guerilla Jiu-Jitsu Academy, who holds a black belt in both judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has trained several UFC champions.
