Xiaomi has unveiled the Poco M6 Pro, a 5G-capable smartphone that bears a striking resemblance to the earlier released Redmi 12 5G.
The new Xiaomi phone comes from the Poco series with a large 6.8-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels, and a pixel density of less than 400 pixels per inch, the display is protected by Gorilla Glass and has a brightness level of up to 550 nits.
The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 octa-core processor based on 4nm technology, clocked at up to 2.2GHz, it comes with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and storage options of 64GB or 128GB.
On the back, the Poco M6 Pro sports a primary 50-megapixel camera with an f/1.8 lens capable of shooting Full HD videos, along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera responsible for depth effects, additionally, the device has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Poco M6 Pro packs a 5000mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 18W, it includes a 22.5W charger in the box, the phone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and has an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance, it supports dual SIM cards and runs on Android 13 with MIUI 14 skin.
Xiaomi will offer the phone in black and green color options, with a starting price of around $135 for the 64GB/4GB version, and $160 for the 128GB/6GB variant. The phone will be available for purchase in August of the current year.
