NASA Announces Launch of On-Demand Streaming Service and Digital Platform Updates

NASA has announced the launch of its first on-demand streaming service, along with other updates to its digital platforms.

In a blog post, NASA stated that it is working to elevate its digital platforms for the benefit of everyone by refreshing its leading scientific and innovative websites, introducing the first on-demand streaming service, and updating the NASA app.

The agency emphasized that these changes will enable everyone to access a new world of content from NASA.

Users can currently access the early and ongoing preview of the experimental website, and NASA has requested users to visit the site and provide feedback through the provided link.

The new web experience will serve as a permanent, expanding foundation to facilitate access to information about NASA’s missions, research, climate data, important Artemis moon mission news, and more, the updated websites, nasa.gov and science.nasa.gov, will offer a connected, categorized experience with a shared search engine, integrated navigation, and improved web publishing capabilities.

NASA mentioned that it will continue updating and improving its experimental website based on visitor feedback.

Later this year, NASA will also launch its new streaming service, NASA Plus (+NASA), which will be ad-free, family-friendly, and offer live coverage of the agency’s missions, additionally, it will feature original video series and new content exclusively available through the streaming service.

Through the ad-free, free-of-charge, and family-friendly live streaming service, users will be able to access real-time coverage of NASA and watch NASA’s missions through a series of original video collections, including new content that will be released via the streaming service.

In their blog post, NASA stated that their digital transformation will help enhance their storytelling about the agency’s exploration of the unknown in both air and space, inspiring people through discovery and innovation for the benefit of humanity.

NASA Plus will be available on major platforms through the NASA app on mobile and tablet devices running Android and iOS, as well as on TV platforms like Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, and on the web across desktop and mobile devices.
