Twitter is working on a new feature that allows verified corporate accounts to advertise their available job vacancies, this feature will enable users to view and search for job opportunities directly within the platform.
Although Twitter has not officially announced this feature yet, there are several indicators suggesting that its launch is imminent, one such indicator is the creation of a verified Twitter account called “TwitterHiring@” specifically dedicated to the upcoming job advertising feature, additionally, Twitter has granted access to this feature to certain organizations, such as “Workweek,” allowing them to publish lists of available job openings.
According to the screenshots that have been shared, Twitter will initially allow companies and organizations to post up to five available job positions, with the potential to reach a large number of users.
It is worth noting that the monthly subscription cost for verified corporate accounts on Twitter is $1,000, along with an additional $50 for each additional company-affiliated account, the job advertising feature will be available to these accounts at no extra cost, and all other users will have the ability to view the available job opportunities.
Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, has previously expressed interest in adding job-related features to the platform, furthermore, Twitter’s acquisition of the online recruitment platform “Laskie” marks the company’s first major deal under Musk’s leadership.
This new feature puts Twitter in direct competition with other specialized platforms like Microsoft-owned professional social network “LinkedIn.”
