Leaks have begun to reveal the features of the upcoming iPhone 16 series, scheduled to be launched next year.
The latest leaks indicate Apple’s plans to support the iPhone 16 Pro Max with a “Super Telephoto” camera featuring periscope lenses.
Tech giant Apple is preparing for the official announcement of the iPhone 15 series at an event in September.
However, leaks have already started to shed light on next year’s releases, the iPhone 16.
The leaks, published by “Digital Chat Station,” have clarified that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will come with a “Super Telephoto” camera equipped with periscope lenses for more efficient zooming capabilities.
It is expected that the camera will have a focal length exceeding 300mm, which is an upgrade compared to the current iPhone 14 Pro Max with a focal length of 77mm.
The leaks so far have indicated that the iPhone 15 Pro Max, set to be released in September, will feature periscope lenses for the first time in iPhone history, On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro next year will also come with periscope lenses, but they will not be of the “Super Telephoto” category.
Therefore, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will offer a more advanced periscope lens system, commonly found in professional cameras used for capturing distant sports events.
It is worth mentioning that the leaks also confirm that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 12% larger main sensor, measuring 1/1.14 in size.
