Samsung’s AI-powered Galaxy Enhance-X app, an advanced photo editing tool, is now available for multiple Galaxy S, Fold, and Flip phones, graduating from its initial beta stage.
The popular Samsung Gallery app comes pre-installed on the company’s flagship devices, offering users a powerful alternative to Google Photos. Building on this success, Samsung launched the Galaxy Enhance-X app in July 2022 as a beta exclusive for the Galaxy S22 series, subsequently re-launching it for the Galaxy S23 series earlier this year.
Galaxy Enhance-X harnesses the power of AI to address common photo issues, such as unwanted shadows and reflections, lens distortion, and the Moiré effect. Users can adjust HDR processing levels, and even upscale images received through WhatsApp and other social media platforms to restore their sharpness and quality.
The app’s Magic button automatically analyzes and adjusts selected images, allowing users to compare before-and-after versions and decide whether to accept the changes. Moreover, the Old Photo tool employs generative AI to restore clarity to aged photos while preserving facial details. A Blur tool is also included to correct blurry images.
The latest release of Galaxy Enhance-X expands compatibility to the following Samsung devices:
– Galaxy S23 series
– Galaxy S22
– Galaxy S21
– Galaxy S20
– Galaxy Note 20
– Galaxy Z Flip 4
– Galaxy Z Fold 4
– Galaxy Z Fold 3
– Galaxy Z Flip 3
– Galaxy Z Fold 2
– Galaxy Z Flip 5G/LTE
Samsung plans to extend the app’s availability to selected mid-range A and M-series phones, as well as Galaxy tablets, at a later date. Users can download the Galaxy Enhance-X app for free from the Galaxy Store.
