Google today announced the launch of the humming search feature on YouTube, a new feature that allows users to find songs they love by humming the song’s melody.
The feature works by using artificial intelligence to analyze the melody of the song being hummed, then displaying a list of possible results. Users can adjust the sensitivity of the feature to include similar or exact melodies.
“We are excited to launch the humming search feature on YouTube, which will help users find the songs they love more easily,” said Tom Radge, vice president of music at Google. “We know it can sometimes be difficult to remember the name of a song, but with this feature, users can now find the song they are looking for simply by humming its melody.”
The humming search feature provides access to a wide range of songs on YouTube, including popular songs, old songs, and songs from all over the world.
To use the humming search feature on YouTube, open the YouTube app on your mobile device, then tap the search icon. Next to the search bar, tap the microphone icon to use the humming search feature. You may need to give YouTube permission to use your microphone for this purpose.
The humming search feature will be rolled out to all YouTube users around the world in the coming weeks.
