Apple’s A17 Pro Processor: Powering the iPhone 15 Pro Series to Impressive Performance Heights
The first performance test results for Apple’s new A17 Pro processor, featured in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, have been revealed, these results confirm the significant improvements Apple has made compared to the previous A16 processor found in the iPhone 14 Pro.
In single-core testing, the A17 Pro processor scored around 2900 points, while it achieved approximately 7250 points in multi-core testing, in comparison, the A16 processor scored about 2600 points in single-core tests and around 6700 points in multi-core tests on average.
These performance improvements can be attributed to the use of 3-nanometer manufacturing technology in the A17 Pro processor, this new processor boasts a central processing unit that is approximately 10% faster, a graphics processing unit that is 20% faster, and a neural processing unit for artificial intelligence that operates at double the speed compared to the previous version.
The significant enhancement comes from the entirely redesigned graphics processing unit in the A17 Pro, representing the largest redesign in Apple’s GPU history, these improvements focus on enhancing performance and efficiency, allowing for smooth operation of complex applications and enjoying new rendering features.
These test results reinforce the expected superiority of Apple’s new phones, the iPhone 15 Pro starts at $1000 with 128GB of storage, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max is priced starting at $1200 with 256GB of storage.
