In a breathtaking football evening, Al-Hilal’s team triumphed over Al-Ittihad’s Tigers in the Saudi league’s classic match, staging an exhilarating comeback resulting in a 4-3 win on Friday night.
The match between Al-Ittihad Jeddah and Al-Hilal took place at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium as part of the fifth round of the Saudi Professional League.
Al-Ittihad Jeddah took the lead in the 16th minute through Romarinho, but Al-Hilal’s Metrovic equalized in the 20th minute.
The Tigers then scored two goals, courtesy of Karim Benzema and Abdulrazzaq Hamdallah in the 38th and 45th+8 minutes, respectively.
In the second half, Al-Hilal rallied back to overturn the tables on Al-Ittihad Jeddah in a thrilling comeback. Metrovic scored two more goals, while Salem Al-Dawsari added another.
With this result, Al-Hilal secures the top spot in the Saudi league with 13 points.

On the other hand, Al-Ittihad Jeddah fails to break the classic’s curse, remaining in second place with 12 points in the standings.
It’s worth mentioning that the last victory for Al-Ittihad Jeddah against Al-Hilal occurred in the 25th round of the Saudi league in the 2020-2021 season with a score of 2-1 in April 2021, before tonight’s triumph.
The Tigers have lost eight times to Al-Hilal in their last 11 encounters across various competitions, with only one victory and two draws.
