Spanish club Barcelona has received distressing news as their star player, Pedro, has officially been diagnosed with a right quadriceps injury, ruling him out of action indefinitely. This setback adds to Barcelona’s woes with Ronald Araujo also sidelined due to a thigh muscle injury posing a major setback to coach Xavi Hernandez’s plans.
The injury that Pedro sustained is the same one that sidelined him for two months back in February indicating that he will likely be absent for several weeks at the very least. Initial estimates suggest that Pedro will not be available for Barcelona until the end of the international break in late September.

Pedro’s injury exacerbates Barcelona’s struggles as he joins Ronald Araujo as one of the key players suffering from injuries. This has proved to be a significant blow to Xavi Hernandez’s plans, given the importance of both players to the team.
Unfortunately injuries have plagued Pedro throughout the past two seasons since his arrival at Barcelona. Despite participating in all possible competitions including the World Cup and the Olympic Games Pedro has been consistently hampered by muscle injuries.
