Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne to Undergo Major Surgery Expected to be Out of Action for Months
English news reports have revealed that Manchester City player Kevin De Bruyne is set to undergo a significant surgery in the coming days due to his injury.
According to The Sun after undergoing medical examinations it has been confirmed that De Bruyne has suffered a thigh muscle injury.
The newspaper added that Manchester City is considering the option of a surgical procedure to avoid a recurrence of the injury in the same area.
Although a final decision has not been made yet, if the player undergoes surgery he is expected to be absent until the beginning of the upcoming year.
In recent statements Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that the Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne, will undergo a surgical procedure that will keep him away from the football fields for approximately three to four months.
Manchester City started their Premier League campaign with an emphatic victory over Burnley with a scoreline of 3-0.
During the match De Bruyne suffered an injury and was forced to leave the field in the 24th minute, being replaced by Mateo Kovacic.
