“We needed fresh blood” Jurgen Klopp’s comment on substituting Mohamed Salah during the Chelsea match
Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, spoke about the frustration of Egyptian Pharaoh “Mohamed Salah” after being substituted fifteen minutes before the end of the match between Liverpool and Chelsea in the first round of the English Premier League.

During a television interview, Jurgen Klopp stated, “Mohamed Salah is one of the most important players in Liverpool’s squad and he holds numerous records, However as a coaching staff, we always think about winning, and that’s why it was necessary to substitute him.”
Klopp added, “Salah is a fantastic player, but we needed fresh blood, He has achieved 500 records, but I don’t focus on those records during the course of the game.”
He continued, “The Egyptian Pharaoh is greatly concerned about records, but I focus on the tactical aspects of the team.”
The Egyptian Pharaoh failed to score any goals during the match against Chelsea, which was the opening match of the Premier League, It was the first time Salah failed to score in the first match of the English league since joining Liverpool.
The match between Liverpool and Chelsea ended in a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge yesterday, Sunday, August 13th.
