Spanish press reports revealed that Paris Saint-Germain has developed a retaliatory plan against Real Madrid, because of the latter’s persuasion of star Kylian Mbappe, to join the ranks of the royal team, and not to renew his contract with the Parisian club.
According to the newspaper “Sport”, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain, wants to take revenge on Real Madrid, because of Kylian Mbappe, by including a number of stars of the royal team during the coming period.
The newspaper reported that Paris Saint-Germain is targeting the inclusion of the quadruple of Real Madrid, Aurelen Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Nico Paz and Rodrygo, in order to weaken the royal team.
The management of the Parisian club believes that Real Madrid was behind the refusal of its star Kylian Mbappe to extend his contract with the club until 2025, in order to pressure it to sell him this summer.
Luis Enrique considers leaving PSG
In a different context, Spanish press reports revealed a surprise of heavy caliber, about the future of Luis Enrique, technical director of the French team Paris Saint-Germain, who took over the task of coaching the French capital club recently.
According to the newspaper “Marca”, the Luis Enrique, seriously considering leaving Paris Saint-Germain, after almost a month of taking over the coaching of the Parisian team, and before playing any official match with the team because of what the newspaper described as “chaos” within the club.
Marca pointed out that the former Spain coach, expressed his displeasure with the focus of the club’s management on the future of the team’s star Kylian Mbappe, rather than strengthening the ranks during the current summer mercato.
Fantastic bonus from Real Madrid for convincing Mbappe to rebel against Paris
French club Paris Saint-Germain are looking to sell Kylian Mbappe this summer, avoiding the idea of him leaving for free after his contract expires in June 2024.
The player refuses to leave at the moment despite being ruled out of the team’s Asian tour, and wants to continue until next summer before moving to Real Madrid, but the message is clear from Paris either to renew or leave now.
Journalist Jonathan Johnson said in his exclusive column on the website “CaughtOffside” that Real Madrid promised Mbappe a reward of 160 million euros in exchange for refusing to renew Paris and staying until the end of his contract.
He explained that the Spanish club prefers to go money to Mbappe instead of Paris Saint-Germain in the form of transfer fees, provided that he moves to his ranks during the next summer transfer period.
If that scenario occurs, Mbappe’s deal would be part of a remarkable shift in the world of football that sees the value of players increase after their contracts expire, such as in the NBA and NFL.
