The coach of Paris Saint-Germain settles Messi’s future with an official statement
During a press statement, Galtier confirmed that the Clermont match will be the last game for the Argentine star with the Parisian club.
During the press conference before the game, Galtier said, “The Clermont match is Messi’s last game. I had the opportunity to coach the greatest player in history, and I hope he will be received as he deserves.”
He continued: “Leo had an excellent season that was crucial for us. When he plays a season like this in the World Cup knockout stages and still manages to produce these statistics, I don’t understand the criticisms he receives. It is a great privilege for me to coach him.”
He continued: “This week we didn’t discuss the upcoming season because of Rico’s situation, and that’s natural for everything to have its time. We’ll see next week what my future holds, as football is unpredictable and no one expected Todor to leave.”
He added, “The worst memory of this season is definitely facing Bayern, and my best memories are from the first part of the season, in general being the leaders from the first to the last round.”
