Suárez first shone in Europe with Ajax Amsterdam before moving to Liverpool in the English Premier League, where he netted 82 goals. His most successful stint was at Barcelona, scoring 195 goals and 113 assists. He then moved to Atlético Madrid, continuing his impressive form and helping them win the Spanish League title.
Overall, Suárez has scored over 500 goals in a career spanning nearly two decades, including club and national team appearances.
Chris Henderson, Inter Miami’s Sporting Director, praised Suárez: “Luis is an extraordinary striker with a proven track record of excellence at the highest levels of the sport. He has demonstrated unique talent in every league he has played throughout his career.”
Inter Miami, having won the American-Mexican League Cup in 2023 following Messi’s arrival, failed to qualify for the American Football League finals. The team’s journey in the 2024 season begins with a match against Real Salt Lake on February 21st.
