Media reports revealed that Juan Laporta, the president of Barcelona football club, inquired about the status of Portuguese star Rafael Leao, who plays for the Italian club AC Milan.
It appears that the Catalan club is looking to strengthen their squad by signing the Portuguese player, who demonstrated a fantastic personality while leading Milan to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, and also for his performance during the past two seasons.
According to what was reported in the Catalan newspaper Sport, Laporta inquired about Leao status with AC Milan in order to try and sign him and strengthen the attacking line which lacks solutions and only has Robert Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembele. It is likely that Barcelona will try to sell both Rafinha and Feran Torres.

Several news reports had indicated that Leao had agreed to renew his contract with Milan, but up until now, the player hasn’t officially signed the contract. As a result, his current contract is set to expire in 2024.
Laporta went to agent Jorge Mendez, who does not directly represent the player but is in constant communication with his family, in order to inquire about the player’s desire.
