“Away from the best” De Gea chooses Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo 

Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea has chosen the Argentine prodigy Lionel Messi over the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, according to a report by the famous British newspaper “The Sun”

The veteran goalkeeper De Gea participated in a unique test, where he was asked to choose between these two global stars, not to determine who is the best among them, but to determine who will play in the upcoming period.

It is worth mentioning that Manchester United decided not to extend De Gea’s contract during the upcoming summer transfer period due to some salary disputes. Therefore, De Gea will leave Old Trafford after a 12-year period.

In a statement issued by the English newspaper “The Sun” it confirmed that De Gea rejected an offer from Saudi club Al-Nassr, worth 500,000 pounds sterling per week, during the previous period, Some close sources to De Gea confirmed that the reason behind his rejection of Al-Nassr’s offer is his unwillingness to move to the Middle East at the present time.

The newspaper added that there are some rumors about an offer for De Gea from the American club “Inter Miami” stating that if there are offers from Al-Nassr and Inter Miami, the player will choose to play alongside Messi in the American league.
