Spanish manager Pep Guardiola spoke about the reasons behind the success of Manchester City in recent seasons while Manchester United faces numerous failures.
It should be noted that Manchester City achieved a victory yesterday, Sunday, October 29, 2023, against Manchester United with a score of 3-0, following the outstanding performance of Norwegian star Erling Haaland, who scored two goals in that match.

Guardiola answered the question regarding the reasons for the superiority of the Sky Blues in recent years, saying: “We, at Manchester City, work towards the same direction, I have repeated it many times with the sporting directors, the CEO, and the club presidents. We have only one direction, and this is the reason behind the stability and achievements of the team.”
He continued in his statements: “There has been unconditional support since my first season with the team, which was not easy at all” Pep Guardiola refers to the 2016 season in which City failed to win any championships, whether domestically or in Europe.
Under the leadership of manager Pep Guardiola, the Sky Blues have achieved 12 titles so far, the most notable of which is winning the Champions League last season, in addition to winning the Premier League title five times.
Some experts and analysts considered Guardiola’s statements about the success of his team as an implication of the reasons for Manchester United’s failure in recent seasons, especially after the retirement of the legendary manager Alex Ferguson from coaching the team in 2013.
