The Premier League Association has announced that Erling Haaland, the star of Manchester City team, has won the title of best player in the current season of Premier League competitions.

Haland played a significant role in Manchester City’s winning of the English Premier League title for the current season, which led the team to earn it for the third consecutive time.

The English Premier League title was officially won by Manchester City before the end of the current season, following a long competition against runner-up Arsenal and contender Haaland for the award of the best player in the Premier League.
With both Kevin De Bruyne, Harry Kane, Martin Odegaard, Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka, and Kieran Trippier, he earned the title for himself before the Norwegian striker won the 2023 Best Football Writer’s Union Player Award, receiving more than 80% of the votes.
It is worth noting that Haaland is the third consecutive Manchester City player to win the Premier League Player of the Season award after Kevin De Bruyne in the 2019-2020 season and Ruben Dias in the 2020-2021 season. He is also the fourth player overall from the Sky Blues team to receive this honor, following Vincent Kompany who won it in the 2011-2012 season.
The Norwegian striker has taken the top spot in the current English Premier League standings, scoring 36 goals in his first season in the competition.
