Harry Kane, the English national team captain and Bayern Munich striker, has warned that Manchester United will pose a greater threat in their upcoming match against the Bavarian club, especially given the current difficulties at Old Trafford.
The warning comes ahead of their clash on Wednesday in the opening round of the UEFA Champions League group stage.
Manchester United has had a lackluster start to the current season, suffering a 1-3 defeat at home against Brighton, which has placed early pressure on Dutch manager Erik ten Hag.
Kane, who joined Bayern last month from Tottenham, stated, “It’s going to be a tough game.
I understand that Manchester United is going through a tough period, but sometimes in such situations, teams can be dangerous because they are motivated to bounce back.”
He added, “We need to be prepared to face them, and of course, we want the fans to support us from the beginning and start the match strongly.”
Kane also emphasized, “The UEFA Champions League is always a special occasion.
I’ll remember my first match with Bayern, so I hope it will be a positive one.”
Additionally, Kane praised Bayern’s manager, Thomas Tuchel, saying, “He’s a great man with fantastic ideas.
Our relationship is good, and he’s one of the best coaches in the world, pushing me and all the other players to progress.”
