[XAU/SAR] Gold prices in Saudi Arabia fall as global prices decline, September 19, 2023

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Gold prices in Saudi Arabia fell on Tuesday, tracking declines in global prices. The price of gold per gram of 24-karat gold in Saudi Arabia fell to 232.84 Saudi riyals (62.09 U.S. dollars), down from 233.36 riyals (62.26 dollars) on Monday. The price of gold per gram of 22-karat gold fell to 203.74 riyals (54.33 dollars), down from 204.36 riyals (54.60 dollars). The price of gold per gram of 18-karat gold fell to 174.63 riyals (46.57 dollars), down from 175.26 riyals (46.85 dollars).

The decline in gold prices in Saudi Arabia was driven by a decline in global prices. The price of gold per ounce fell to $1,931 on Tuesday, down from $1,934 on Monday. The decline in global prices was attributed to a number of factors, including rising interest rates in the United States and concerns about a global recession.
