Officially: The Ministry of Interior approves police transfers for 2023 (full details with names)
Major General Mahmoud Tawfik, the Minister of Interior, has officially approved the police transfers for the year 2023. One of the notable features of this movement includes the renewal of trust in Major General Adel Gaafar as an assistant to the Minister for the National Security sector. Additionally, Major General Nasr Mohy El-Din will continue as an assistant to the Minister for the Media and Relations sector, and Major General Ashraf El Gendy will serve as the Director of Cairo Security. This announcement came after a meeting between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Minister of Interior, Major General Mahmoud Tawfik, yesterday, as stated by the official spokesperson of the presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy.
The Ministry of Interior stated: “Recognizing the importance and value of continuing to develop police work mechanisms to confront security challenges and align with the requirements of the current stage… the promotions and transfers of police officers for the year 2023 align with the state’s policy and directions to promote young elements for utilization in all areas of security work. This includes expanding the promotions of higher and middle ranks to prepare a new generation of young leaders as the nucleus of future police leadership.”
