Molotov Cocktail Attack on Wedding Hall in Mansoura Leaves One Severely Burned

MANSOURA, Egypt – In a shocking incident, unidentified individuals launched a Molotov cocktail attack on a wedding hall in the city of Mansoura during a celebration for the son of a well-known local fish merchant. The attack resulted in serious burns to one individual and significant damage to the wedding hall.

The incident took place in the Dakahlia Governorate, where the attackers targeted the “Sketcher” wedding hall located on the main highway. The celebration was for the wedding of the son of a prominent fish merchant known as “El-Sayed Abu Dalal.”

The attack resulted in severe burns to one of the guests, identified as “Mohamed Khaled Zitouna,” who was immediately transported to a local hospital for necessary treatment. The fire caused by the Molotov cocktails also resulted in substantial damage to a part of the wedding hall.

Security forces were alerted to the incident by local residents. Major General Marwan Habib, Director of Dakahlia Security, received a notification from Major General Mohamed Abdelhadi, Director of Criminal Investigations, about the incident. Officers from the Mansoura First Department of Investigations, led by Colonel Ahmed Marwan Shabana, were dispatched to the scene. High-ranking officials from the Dakahlia Security Directorate, led by the Director of Criminal Investigations, also arrived at the location.

Security forces are intensifying their efforts to uncover the circumstances of the incident. They are currently reviewing CCTV footage to identify the perpetrators of the attack.

A formal record of the incident has been made and referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigations. As the situation unfolds, more details are expected to emerge about this shocking incident that has left the city of Mansoura in a state of disbelief and concern.
