TABA, Egypt: A rocket struck the Egyptian city of Taba, located near the Red Sea, resulting in injuries to at least six people and causing damage to a residential building. The incident, which occurred early on Friday, has raised concerns about security in the region.

The Israeli military confirmed being aware of the security incident near its border on the Red Sea with Egypt. However, they emphasized that the incident took place outside their jurisdiction, according to Reuters.

TABA, known for its Red Sea resorts and popular among tourists, is situated across from the Israeli coastal city of Eilat, more than 350 kilometers away from Gaza.
