Russian-Language Open Education Center in Cairo Celebrates Six Months of Cultural Exchange and Education
Cairo, Egypt — The Russian-Language Open Education Center in Cairo, an initiative backed by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, marks its six-month anniversary this month. The Center has become a hub for Egyptians interested in Russian language and culture, offering a variety of courses and events that go beyond conventional language instruction.

Faculty members from Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University in Russia have been at the forefront of this educational endeavor. Utilizing cutting-edge, engaging, and unconventional teaching methods, the Center has successfully attracted a diverse group of learners. From school children to university students and even their parents, the Center has made Russian language and culture accessible to all.

The Center, which officially opened its doors in April 2023, offers a wide range of courses tailored to individual interests. Learners can delve into the history of Russian bard music, explore iconic works of Russian literature from the 19th to the 21st centuries, or study universal values in Russian culture and art. Since its opening, 130 learners have taken courses at the Center. 90 individuals aged 8 to 28 participated in its educational and cultural events. The schedule of events is varied and busy till December.
