Google is gearing up to unveil its Pixel 8 series in an event next month, The latest reports have revealed a new “Night Sight” feature for video in the upcoming Pixel 8 Pro.
Previous reports indicated that Google would support the upcoming Pixel 8 phones with eSIM only this year, similar to Apple’s iPhone 14 series in the United States.
However, new reports confirm that Google will provide a SIM card slot in this year’s models, but it won’t support MicroSD for expandable storage.
Details shared via “9to5Google” also highlight Google’s enhancement of the Pixel 8 series this year with an improved “Night Sight” feature in the camera app, aimed at video recording.
The “Night Sight” software is expected to enhance video recording performance in low light by merging a set of images with different exposure levels to reduce noise and enhance video clarity.
Reports also mention that Google will allow “Night Sight” software to work with the “Super-Res” zoom feature for the first time, reducing noise in zoomed images.
It’s worth noting that the “Night Sight” video feature will initially be limited to Pixel 8 Pro users, so we look forward to more details at the official event scheduled for October 4th.
