Air Traffic Control System Failure Causes Flight Delays in UK

According to reports from British broadcasting network Sky News airlines have informed passengers of a malfunction in the air traffic control systems across various parts of the United Kingdom on Monday.

Sky News received information that passengers aboard flights operated by other airlines outside the UK were notified of the air traffic control network failure, resulting in the delay of their scheduled flights. In a statement, the National Air Traffic Controllers stated that they are currently facing a technical problem and have imposed restrictions on traffic flow to ensure safety. Engineers are working diligently to identify and rectify the issue. They expressed apologies for any inconvenience caused by the malfunction.

In addition to this, Loganair, an airline company, posted on their website, formerly known as “Twitter”, that a network failure occurred this morning in the computer systems responsible for air traffic control in the United Kingdom. They warned that flights between the north and south, as well as international flights, may experience delays. Passengers traveling with Loganair were advised to check their website for the latest information regarding their flight before heading to the airport.
