Former US President Donald Trump’s Prison Photo Becomes Profitable Merchandise in Georgia
The image of former US President Donald Trump as a prisoner which was released by a court in Georgia on Thursday evening, has transformed into a lucrative commodity, with friends and foes alike promoting it through t-shirts, mugs, stickers, and even dolls. Supporters and campaign managers of the “America First” movement have embraced the image of Trump’s arrest, considering him a victim and claiming that the charges against him are politically motivated.
For critics, the photo signifies justice being served and punishment for a long list of legal violations that must be paid for and carried its consequences. The Trump-affiliated fundraising committee, “Save America,” is selling merchandise featuring the image with the slogan “Never Give up!” The t-shirts are priced at $34, the double-cup holders at $15, and the mug at $25.
Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. markets t-shirts emblazoned with the phrase “Free Trump” for $29.99, while stickers are sold for $19.99. On the other side of the political divide the Lincoln Project a prominent Republican anti-Trump group is selling six small glasses for $55 and a mug featuring the satirical acronym “FAFO” (Fools Act Foolish Often), widely used by Trump critics as a warning to face the consequences of foolish actions, priced at $26.
In Los Angeles an unaffiliated t-shirt store has started selling shirts adorned with Trump’s prison photo considering it a profitable business venture.
