Maui County sues Hawaiian Electric over wildfire negligence

Maui County sued Hawaiian Electric, saying that it failed to shut down electrical equipment before the forest fires on the island, and that if the power lines had been cut during the wind and dry conditions exceptionally, destruction could have been avoided.

Fire results so far:-

The Hague fire killed 115 people and more than 1,000 are still missing.

The forest fire that invaded the town of Lahaina in Hawaii on August 8 destroyed most of the historic city, and the fires are now the worst natural disaster in the history of Hawaii.

It is now expected that the authorities will publish a list of missing persons in the coming days in order to try to narrow the scope of the search, and the search teams combing the rubble have found only bones or body parts.
