Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal’s head coach Jorge Jesus, has confirmed that Brazilian forward Neymar da Silva is facing a minor injury that will prevent him from participating in training sessions in the upcoming days.
Speaking in a press conference following the match against Al-Fayha Jesus expressed uncertainty regarding the duration of Neymar’s absence and questioned the reasoning behind his call-up to the Brazilian national team.
Despite Neymar’s setback Jesus remains hopeful that Al-Hilal’s attacking prowess will significantly improve in the next few days with the addition of the Brazilian duo and also Serbian striker Mitrovic.
Jesus discussed the team’s recent draw against Al-Fayha, acknowledging that Al-Hilal created numerous chances but failed to convert them into goals. He emphasized the need to find better solutions in the future and handle those opportunities with the required quality.
Expressing gratitude towards the fans for their overwhelming support, Jesus mentioned the team’s desire to secure a victory but admitted their failure to meet this objective. Al-Hilal faced a stumbling block at their home stadium, the King Fahd International Stadium, as the match against Al-Fayha ended in a 1-1 draw. This result saw Al-Hilal lose their first two points in the league after a successful start with a 3-1 victory against Abha in the opening round of the 2023-2024 Roshan League season.
