Surprise – João Félix plans to terminate his contract with Atletico Madrid

Spanish press reports revealed a desire on the part of the Portuguese, Joao Felix striker Atletico Madrid to terminate his contract with the club Madrid in order to move to another club in the ongoing summer transfer market.

Felix had previously spent half of last season 2022/2023, as he left Atletico Madrid to Chelsea and returned after the end of the loan again to the Blancos, but he was linked with the possibility of leaving again.

According to Spanish channel Lasexta, Joao Felix is considering terminating his contract with Atletico Madrid as he does not want to continue.

The report pointed out that Felix does not want at all to continue with the Spanish club, and he and his delegation wants to terminate his contract with the capital club.

Felix had joined Atletico Madrid for €120m from Benfica in 2018, but has not adapted under coach Diego Simeone at the Blancos.

His departure will by far not be easy as it is the most expensive deal in Atletico Madrid’s history, as his club will want money to approve his departure.

What did Joao Felix do with Atletico Madrid?

Felix made 21 appearances for Chelsea last season, including 16 in the Premier League, but he has failed to make a big mark.

He only scored 4 goals, which made the London club not ask the Spanish capital club to extend his loan period for at least an additional season.
