Chinese giant Xiaomi continues to unveil tantalizing teasers, revealing specifications and the anticipated design of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 smartphone.
The latest teaser advertisements confirm that the phone boasts an even sleeker design with horizontal folding of the screen.
Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil its foldable phone, the Mix Fold 3, in an event scheduled for August 14th.
Today, the company offers further details about this release through a series of teaser ads.
The latest teasers highlight that the Mix Fold 3 features a design with a thickness of 4.93mm when the screen is open, and 9.8mm when folded.
This represents a slimmer profile compared to its predecessor, the Mix Fold 2, which had a thickness of 5.4mm when open and 11.2mm when folded.
On another note, these details confirm that the Honor Magic V2 phone showcases a slimmer design with a thickness of 4.7mm when the screen is open, but it expands to 9.9mm when folded, surpassing Xiaomi’s design for folding thickness.
Xiaomi has also redesigned the hinge mechanism for its upcoming Mix Fold 3 model, The company incorporated steel and ceramic carbon materials to create a sturdy and corrosion-resistant hinge.
The hinge design now comprises 198 parts, including 14 moving components, a significant improvement over the previous version which had only 8 moving parts out of a total of 89.
In addition, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 features an 8.02-inch internal screen and a 6.5-inch external cover display.
Both screens support FHD+ display quality and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Turning to the camera settings, the Fold 3 boasts dual telephoto sensors with optical zoom capabilities of up to 5x with the periscope camera and up to 3.2x with the telephoto camera.
It’s worth noting that Xiaomi hasn’t provided precise battery capacity details for this version, However, the Chinese giant assures that the phone will offer a battery life of over a day and supports fast charging at 67W and wireless charging at 50W.
