Honor Unveils MagicOS 7.2 Update: Enhancing Productivity and User Experience for Mobile Devices
Honor has announced the release of the new MagicOS 7.2 update for its mobile devices, coinciding with the launch of its new foldable phone, the Magic V2, and its tablet, the MagicPad 13.
The new update brings several features aimed at improving the user experience, specifically focusing on enhancing productivity for devices with larger screens.
One of the notable additions in the MagicOS 7.2 update is the inclusion of the “Honor Docs” suite, a set of office applications for creating and editing text documents, presentations, and spreadsheets, it supports input methods such as keyboard, stylus, and voice dictation, and can handle various file formats, adapting them for mobile device screens.
The update enables Honor devices to edit videos with support for additional codecs, additionally, it introduces more collaborative features for linking Honor devices together, including network sharing, notifications, and calls.
Honor has also implemented system performance improvements in the new update, currently available on the Magic V2 phone and the MagicPad 13 tablet, however, there has been no confirmation from Honor regarding the availability of the update for older device models.
Earlier, Honor’s CEO, George Zhao, had announced that the upcoming MagicOS 8 system would be a major update for their devices, the company aims to match the smoothness of Huawei’s HarmonyOS and surpass Apple’s iOS in device performance, the release of this system is expected later this year and will be based on Android 14.
