The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced on Thursday, December 14th, the final list of candidates for the Best Player in the World award for the year 2023, with Argentine prodigy Lionel Messi leading the final list of players, FIFA announced on its official website that players Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Erling Haaland are among the finalists vying for “The Best” award for the best player in the world.

It is worth mentioning that “The Best” award is given to the best players who have performed exceptionally well during the past year, from December 19th, 2022, to August 20th, 2023. The winner of the award will be announced during the ceremony to be held in London on January 15th, 2024.
This will be the third time London hosts this global event, following its hosting in 2016 and 2017, Messi managed to win the Best Player in the World award for this year, 2023, presented by the famous magazine “France Football,” following his outstanding performance in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and winning the world title with the Argentine national team, defeating the French national team.
